Why Listening to Expat Feedback Matters Now More Than Ever
Published: 17 June 2025
Starting 15 July 2025, the UK Home Office will stop issuing 90-day entry vignettes in passports for main applicants in select visa categories. These individuals will instead receive a digital eVisa — a key step in the UK’s shift to fully digital immigration status records.
⸻
Who is Affected?
This applies to main applicants applying under:
• Global Business Mobility
• International Sportspersons
• Skilled Worker (including Health and Care visas)
• Temporary Worker routes
Dependants and children will still receive both a physical vignette and a digital eVisa.
⸻
What’s Changing?
Instead of a visa sticker in their passport, main applicants will be issued an eVisa — a digital record accessed via a UKVI account.
Applicants must:
• ✅ Create a UKVI account
• ✅ Link the eVisa to the passport used for travel
• ✅ Access and check the eVisa before departure
• ✅ Provide a share code and date of birth to their employer for Right to Work verification
The visa decision letter will include full instructions.

📣 Why Expatriate Feedback Is Crucial Right Now
This transition introduces new processes that many applicants — particularly first-time international assignees — may find unfamiliar. Capturing Voice of Customer (VoC) feedback during this transition is essential to ensure a smooth experience.
At Advanced Client Metrics, we help relocation companies and HR departments stay ahead of service issues by gathering real-time, qualitative feedback directly from expatriates — not through impersonal email surveys, but via live telephone conversations. This method:
• Achieves over 90% participation
• Delivers accurate, actionable insights within days of arrival or eVisa activation
• Helps identify friction points (e.g., confusion over UKVI setup, Right to Work process, or documentation)
📌 Real customer voices give your team early warning signals and opportunities to improve guidance, reduce anxiety, and drive satisfaction at a moment of high impact.
⸻
🎯 Use Cases for VoC During This Transition
• 🔄 Identify unclear visa communication points from official letters
• 📞 Understand where HR or relocation partners can provide better eVisa support
• 🚩 Detect trends across global offices before they escalate into complaints
• 📊 Share validated feedback with vendors, legal partners, or internal stakeholders
